A. |
Open to all two (2) door
North American made steel bodied passenger cars
from 1974 or newer with 108” wheel base
minimum. No pony or sport cars. Must be full
tube rear housing. |

Car body and overall
appearance must retain all stock dimensions.
Altered bodylines will be significant
reason for disqualification. The body may not be
lowered on the frame. The body must be mounted
in original factory location in relation to the
frame. All body components must maintain year
and model of the rest of the car. Frame must
remain stock front to rear. Rear may be
reinforced but must remain stock; may be
crossed. Stock dimension windshield pillars must
be retained. Windshield pillars and windshield
angle must remain stock. Steel bodies only, no
fiberglass bodies. |

All glass, including
windshield must be removed. Windshield must have
four, three inch tabs (two on top, two on the
bottom) and two inner center braces. Windshield
must be replaced by Lexan. |

Doors must be welded. |

Body molding, including
door handles must be removed. |

Interior of the car must
be completely stripped. Driver must sit in
stock position; pedals must be in stock
position. Floor must be stock, front to

and mounted inside a spill proof container
outside of driver’s compartment and not behind
the rear axle. |

compartment with 20-gauge steel, which must be

The idea
behind this division is to hold expenses down.
While the above rules offer a good outline,
every item cannot be covered by a written rule.
If you want to run anything not covered in the
rules ASK an official. Any item found illegal
will be confiscated. |

| 3. |
ENGINE |
| |
A. |
Stock, unaltered
engine and transmission combination. Including all
engine accessories except air filters and valve
covers. Any diameter front engine
pulleys allowed. (V-BELT TYPES ONLY). |
| |
B. |
Engine must match make
and model of car used. All engine blocks must be
standard production blocks and have STOCK external
and internal measurements, except for maximum .060
overbore. |
| |
C. |
Engine maximum
displacement: Ford 351 ci, and GM 350 ci, Plus a
maximum .060 overbore, Mopar 360 ci, plus
maximum .020 overbore. No V6 engines allowed. |

D. |
Engine must be stock
factory location. Frame may not be
notched for fuel pump clearance. All cars
must be self starting. No push starts. |

E. |
Pistons - All GM engines
must use stock OEM type flat top or dished
pistons. No domed pistons allowed. Ford and
Chrysler must use OEM equivalent 9-1 CR pistons.
Aftermarket TRW #2256 NHRA OEM stock type
pistons may be used. No internal heat coatings
or thermal barriers. |

All engines must use
stock OEM production crank, rods and block.
Aftermarket crankshafts may be used if
they are a direct replacement for stock. Minimum
weight is 50 lbs. No scalloped counterweights,
no reduced diameter counterweights, no
gundrilled crankshafts. Stock factory OEM
bearing diameters only. Normal balancing, with
drilling perpendicular to main journals only.
Stroke must remain stock.
Aftermarket connecting rods may be used
if they are a direct replacement for stock OEM
in length and weight. The connecting rod must
have a bolt and nut fastener ONLY. Rod must meet
or exceed the factory stock weight of the rod it
replaces.

Extra capacity oil pans
allowed. Oil pan must have inspection hole 1 ¼
inches. MUST BE UNOBSTRUCTED! NO SIDE
KICK-OUT OIL PANS. Location: 9 ½ inches
from rear of block base or 4 ½ inches from
front block base, 1 ¼ inches from oil pan
rail.. |

Cylinder heads, and exhaust
manifolds must be factory stock OEM production, CAST
IRON only. No porting, polishing, or
grinding allowed. . All valve seat and bowl work
must be machine cut concentric to valve guide
with a pilot . No undercut valves allowed.
Heads must have stock internal and external
measurements. NO marine or truck manifolds. NO
epoxy or fillers to be used in manifolds or
heads. Screw in or pinned studs allowed, (70cc
minimum head allowed). NO Chevy angle plugs, or
BOSS Fords or Chryslers Hemi’s or Pontiac Ram
Air heads allowed. NO 305 Chevrolet heads
allowed. (Except on 305 c.i. engines) |

Carburetor - factory

of 1 11/16”. Throttle plates may be drilled to
help engine idle fuel mixing. No thinning of
throttle shafts or riveting of throttle plates
to shafts must have stock type screws in
throttle plates with at least one thread
protruding through throttle shaft. No marine or
truck venturi clusters may be used. Only choke
plate may be removed. Any JETS ok. Brass floats
ok. Holley 4412 is optional with the removal of
the choke plate, Carburetor adapter with
gaskets, Maximum height is 1.130”. Carburetor
adapter may not be altered, angle milled, two
straight holes only bored perpendicular to the
top, maximum size 1.750”. No HP HOLLEY
CARBURETORS. No HP Holley metering blocks.
Stock passenger car air cleaners only. No
tongues. Air cleaner may be (3 piece only) Base,
Filter Element, and Solid Top covering diameter
of element. |

CAST IRON intake manifold
(TWO BARREL ONLY). Manifolds must NOT
be cut below carburetor (to open up intake to
allow cross flow between intake inlets.) MUST
BE AS STOCK! NO center dump manifolds

cap and rotor allowed. Stock ignition modules
may be replaced with MSD #8364 or Pro Comp #

ignition wires may be used. |

TRANSMISSION |

A. |
Only stock production,
automatic transmission for year and model of car
is allowed. Powerglide transmissions will be
allowed as an optional transmission with the
following gear ratios only: 1.76 ratio V8
transmission or 1.82 ratio 6 cyl. transmission.
No other ratios allowed. No high performance or
special order transmission is allowed. NO
MODIFYING OF TRANSMISSION IN ANY MANNER IS
ALLOWED. Reverse gear must be in working order. |

All cars must have stock,
unaltered OEM V-8 cylinder torque converter with
a stall speed between 1500 – 2300 RPM. Stall
speed will be checked with car in gear, on the
ground measured with a tachometer. 11 &
12” torque converters only. |

WHEELS
AND TIRES |

STREET STOCK: Steel
wheels only. Maximum width of 8”. No more than
one inch off set difference between any two
wheels side-to-side, front to back. After market
wheels are permitted. All wheels must have the
same diameter, either 14” or 15”. Must have
steel backer plates welded to center of wheel.
Heavy stud and nuts must be used. Studs must
extend through nuts. REINFORCED WHEELS RIGHT
FRONT, OVERSIZED STUDS AND LUGS RIGHT FRONT ARE
MANDATORY. No aluminum, mag or sport type wheel
allowed. Racing wheels are permitted. |

cylinder REQUIRED. Can modify arm. Mount
must be OEM stock location at firewall. |

ROLL CAGE |
| |
A. |
Cars must have a
complete, full roll cage around the driver that
must be welded to the frame. Tubing for roll
cages must be one and three quarters inch (1 ¾”)
outside diameter and must be made of steel.
Minimum wall thickness of roll cage tubing
is.090. |

B. |
There must be at least
four horizontal and three vertical bars within
any remaining doors. All welds must have
gussets. |
| |
|
| 11. |
SEATS AND
SHOULDER HARNESS |
| |
A. |
All seats must be
aluminum and must have headrest or high back
seat. Seat must be attached to roll cage and
frame with 6pcs. grade 5 bolts 3/8 diameter and
USS washers. Back of seat must be mounted to the
roll cage. |
| |
B. |
Quick release, five-point
restraint system that is designed for racing is
mandatory. Also mandatory are 3” wide
(minimum) lap belt and shoulder harness and a
2” wide antisubmarine strap with a central
release. All safety belts must be no more
than 2 years old and must have identification
tag. ALL HARNESSES SUBJECT TO TECH
INSPECTORS APPROVAL. |

Padding: All roll bars,
sidebars or any other protrusion that the
driver’s body may come in contact with upon
impact, must be padded. Steering wheel hub must
be padded. |

Shoulder harness must be
attached to the roll cage. Absolutely no
original equipment belts. |

Hans or Hutchins head and neck restraints are
mandatory. |
| 12. |
FUEL CELL |
| |
A. |
ALL CARS MUST HAVE A FUEL
CELL, 22 GALLONS MAXIMUM. Plastic cells are
permitted, but must be enclosed in a steel
container made of minimum 20-gauge steel. An
8-gallon cell is recommended. |
| |
B. |
Fuel cell must be mounted
in center of trunk. No off set permitted. Bottom
of fuel cell must be no lower than centerline of
rear axle. Fuel cell must be securely fastened
(bolted and strapped). Minimum outside diameter
of 1” X welded beneath fuel cell (Frame rail
to rail). |
