LIFE
IS A DRAG by
Dave Mance
I hope everybody had a great
Memorial Day weekend. Sunday’s weather was a little iffy, but
the rest of the weekend was gorgeous. Saturday turned out to be
another fabulous day for racing. It’s hard to believe we got
four Saturday’s in a row without a rain delay. Late Saturday
afternoon looked like it was going to rain, but the stiff breeze
seemed to blow the rain away and it turned out to be a great
night. We had a little over 80 cars show up, which is pretty good
for it being a Holiday weekend. So let’s give you the results
because we had a few different winners this past weekend:
Super Pro - 1st Place – Bob
Mohr, Webster
2nd Place – Joe Ragusa,
Rochester
3rd Place – Joe Fiano Jr.,
Webster
4th Place – Gary Stowell,
Macedon
Modified - 1st Place – Larry
Westerman, Palmyra
2nd Place – Nina McDonald,
Williamson
3rd Place – John Cira Jr.,
Rochester
4th Place – Dave Stock,
Weedsport
Street - 1st Place – Sam Capizzi
Jr., Rochester
2nd Place – John Cira Jr.,
Rochester
3rd Place – TJ Parks, Ontario
4th Place – Josh Lanning, Sodus
Gamblers - 1st Place – Joe
Williams,
2nd Place – Michael Wilcox,
I didn’t build a pond or
anything like that over the rest of the weekend, but I did go sit
in a movie theater and watch the new “Pirates of the Caribbean”
movie and if you want my review, call me. I did manage to get the
lawn mowed with the help of my wife, Suzi. The two of us can mow a
pretty mean lawn (all 2 ˝ acres of it).
The June 9th race will be a Summit
ET Points race and I hope to see you there. Have a great week and
I’ll let you know as soon as I know when the track will be
featured on ESPN. (I hope you were all smiling at the camera).
