SPENCER SPEEDWAY 2007 NEWS

Happy New Year everybody! Hope
winter has been kind to everyone. I’ve had my ups and downs this
winter, and I hope spring comes a little early. Getting tired of
the snow and cold, and my wood supply is getting low. It’s time
to go RACING!!!!
The pros have a couple of races
under their belts. The Force Team seems to be starting off strong
with Ashley showing her skills showing dad up with strong runs for
being a rookie. But a lot can happen yet because there is still a
lot of racing ahead of them.
Now let me give you a little up
date on what’s going on with Spencer Speedway. There are things
in the works that are going to be a definite plus for everybody.
We are getting a new, updated computer that has more options on it
that will make things run smoother on the track and for the girls
in the tower. We are also putting in a 330 ft. eye, and running
new wire to all the other eyes. This will mean more racing and
less down time (and less butts in the air fixing eyes).
The big news is that “INSIDE
NHRA” is stopping in on May 19th to shoot some footage about the
track! So mark your calendars, tune those engines, and shine up
those cars because you never know, you may end up on national
television. They say it may air sometime in July, but I will let
you know as soon as I can exactly when it will air.
Also mark your calendars for April
1st. There will be a meeting at Capizzo’s on 2454 Ridge Road in
Ontario at 1:00 P.M. to discuss the upcoming season. We will have
schedules to hand out then, and I will also be posting that on the
website when I get it. For those of you who do not know how to
access that site, just go to NHRA.com and click on Northeast
Division and then click on Track Directory and you will find
Spencer Speedway listed. Click on Spencer Speedway and our
information will be there. Hope to see you at the meeting and I
will inform you of anything else new as it becomes available to
me.
