The Fall Open, the final oval track event of the 2012 season at Spencer
Speedway, will take place this Friday, September 28.
The Fall Open sees gates opening at 4pm in the pits, 5:00 in the
grandstands and racing will continue with Super
Sixes qualifying at 7:15pm sharp. The rain date for
this event will be Saturday, September 29th. The
Sunoco Modifieds and Super Stocks will be joined by
the Casey’s TQ Midget Series, Super Sixes and Auto
Value 4 Cylinder Scorpions. Friday will also see the
return of the popular “Kids, Candy and Coins”
activity at intermission.
The Super Stocks are running a special 50 lap feature that is offering an
additional close $2000 above their normal race purse
as well as other contingency awards that will be
dispersed throughout the field. The Sunoco Modified
75 will also feature a bigger purse and more
competitors are able to come out and race. For
information about either class, please contact the
speedway office.
Before the rains came on September 7, two qualifying heats had been run
in the Auto Value 4 Cylinder Scorpions. These were
won by Shawn Frarey and Bro Bradshaw. The Casey
Midgets also ran two qualifying heats; won by Kyle
Hutchinson and Camden Barber.
Spencer Speedway is located just fifteen minutes east of Rochester, NY,
along Route 104 in the Town of Williamson. Spencer
Speedway is the local “NASCAR Place to Race” for
Central New York. Points earned each week at Spencer
are counted into the national NASCAR Whelen
All-American Points.
