$20,000 BONUS ON LINE FOR SST DRIVERS
WILLIAMSON, NY…John White the
owner of both Spencer Speedway and the Chemung Speedrome
announced he would be offering a $20,000 bonus for any
driver that can win the SST title at both of his
speedways. The only rule to be eligible for this bonus is
a perfect attendance record in the SST division at both
speedways in 2007. White, who is the 2004 New Smyrna
Speedway’s World Series of Asphalt Racing SK-Modified
Champion, feels the SST division is one of the most
promising and growing divisions in the upstate region. The
SST division replaced the Grand American Modified class at
Spencer last year. Immediately car counts increased into
the mid to upper 20’s. A number of Tour-Type Modified
drivers also fielded SST cars.
“We want to foster the growth
of this division and make them distinct from their
cousins, the Tour-Type Modifieds,” stated White. “What
better way then to offer this special bonus program to the
SST drivers.”
White went on to add a secondary
bonus program for the SSTs.
“Suppose that no driver can
earn this bonus, I want to make another offer! If a driver
is the SST champion at either of these tracks, I’ll
award a bonus to the track champion at the one track that
has the highest points at the other track, as long as the
perfect attendance record in the SST class is maintained
at each track. I also want to add that that bonus will be
a minimum of $5,000. Now that ought to get the guys
buzzing about taking out an SST Modified ride”, he
concluded.
Spencer Speedway will be
operating each and every Friday night throughout the
summer, starting in May. Chemung, located near Chemung, NY
in the Southern Tier, operates each and every Saturday
night throughout the summer. The primary division at
Chemung is their SST class.
